Biography

TRAINERS:  I am training with Team Quest in Temecula, California. I also train boxing with Justin Fortune at Fortune Boxing in Hollywood and Muay Thai with Walter Michelowski at Sityodtong in Pasadena.

TRAINING:   I train in the morning, and alternating days either afternoon or evenings. I am training Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing, Kickboxing and Conditioning.

When and why did you start training for fighting?  I had trained and competed in BJJ for years and wanted to see what I was really made of.


What ranks and titles have you held?  Alberto Crane is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt who’s has been training Jiu-Jitsu for 12 years and has trained at the world famous Gracie Barra academy in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Alberto is a former world Jiu-Jitsu champion as well as the former “King Of The Cage” ¬¬¬lightweight champion. 2nd Degree BJJ Black Belt under Vinicus "Draculino"Magalhaes and Carlos Gracie Jr.
Jiu-Jitsu: 2002 World Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Champion (Mundials), 3 time Brazilian National Jiu-Jitsu Champion, 99 Silver World Championship medalist (Mundials), 98 Bronze World Championship medalist (Mundials) Submission Wrestling:

Do you have any heroes?  My Mom, Dad and Grandfather


What is your favorite technique? Anything that is crazy different, where you go ‘what the hell just happened?’


What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC?  It's something 10 years ago I would never have imagined. 


Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?  I went to the Jiu-Jitsu University and majored in the attitude that wins championships


What was your job before you started fighting?  I was a Professional Martial Arts Instructor
Other - Crane ran two highly successful martial arts schools in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Alberto is married with a fine new baby boy and has recently relocated his family to Los Angeles, California to focus on his training as he sits poised to launch himself to the next level of his career in MMA.
