Danny AbbadiWhen and why did you start training for fighting? I’ve been in tae kwon do since I was three years of age, but didn’t realize I wanted to start fighting until I turned 15; that’s when I started to really kick box and train hard. Do you have any heroes? I have a lot of heroes - most of the old UFC fighters, and I really liked Tito (Ortiz) for a long time; I thought he was the greatest. Vitor Belfort is probably the one man that to this day, no matter how he does, I’m going to be on his side. I see me in everything about him; he’s a real fighter’s hero What is your favorite technique? I love to kick. A big round kick to your face, watch out. What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? To fight in the UFC, that was just a dream. UFC is the NFL of MMA to me, and I always thought it was going to be impossible for an average guy like me to be in it. I cried when I got the call and I get goose bumps ‘til this day because I still can’t believe it. It means everything to me. Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No What was your job before you started fighting? I teach tae kwon do for a living, and still do.
