TRAINING: A typical training day consists of strength and conditioning or drilling and pad work in the morning, depending on the day of the week or how my body is feeling, and then sparring at night. I try to stick to a 3 days on and then 1 day off to make sure I'm getting the rest I need and not burning out.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training in 1999 to prove to myself and to others that I belong in the UFC.
What ranks and titles have you held? Maximum Fighting - # 1 AFC LHW Champ
Do you have any heroes? Lance Armstrong and Randy Couture
What is your favorite technique? You will see it on April 30th.
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s fulfilling my dream, but I want to win in the UFC.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I did go to college and have a degree in criminology.
What was your job before you started fighting? I was a Correctional Officer, but I fight full-time now.
