Junior Assuncao

TRAINING: My routine is the same daily. I am always training. My "training" really starts with my diet. Right now I am planning on going to Blackhouse in Rio to train with their top guns for one month. If that doesn't work out, I will train here in Atlanta. There are a lot of great training partners here such as: Rapahael Assuncao, Douglas Lima, Rory Singer, Diego Sariava, Roberto Traven, Roan Carneiro, Jeff Bedard, and many others. So I think wherever I am I will have a good camp to help me prepare for this fight.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training Capoeira in 1995, and then began Jiu-Jitsu classes in 1999. I train because I love to fight.

What ranks and titles have you held? Professor in Capoeira, BJJ Brown Belt. I don’t hold any titles, however I’m looking to get one!

Do you have any heroes? GOD, and my brothers.

What is your favorite technique? Kicks

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? A dream of mine is coming true!

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No, but I’ve learned education is very important though.

What was your job before you started fighting? Construction.
