Training: Lots of wrestling with high level wrestlers and plenty of running.
When and why did you start training for fighting? August of 2000. I had been a fan of the sport since 1994 when I first saw it... I always wanted to train and when I got the opportunity, I took it on full-time.
What ranks and titles have you held? MMA national amateur MMA champion, Gladiator Challenge lightweight champion, IFC lightweight champion, 5 time King of the Cage world lightweight champion, The Ultimate Fighter season six winner.
Do you have any heroes? Bernard Hopkins, Arturo Gatti
What is your favorite technique? Left hook to the body
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means everything. My career in the UFC is my life and I won't let anything stop me from making a living in the in this sport.
What was your job before you started fighting? I have had many jobs growing up, most notably, I was a caretaker at an Animal Sanctuary in Pennsylvania right before I started fighting.
