TRAINING: Since I took this fight at the last minute, things were a little different than normal. Usually before a fight, I would be training with my team, Korean Top Team, in Seoul, Korea. However, the way things worked out, I happened to be in Sacramento, CA, training with Team Alpha Male. Team Alpha Male has a lot of the top talent in the lighter classes-- Urijah Faber, Joseph Benavidez, Chad Mendes and Danny Castillo-- just to name a few. They have a bunch of other really talented guys as well. It's like a wrestlers’ convention there. So, I've just been following their schedule everyday, which is different, depending on the day. Usually, there is team training in the morning-- either striking or grappling-- then we break for lunch. In the afternoon, we'll work on whatever we didn't do in the morning, then in the evenings do individual stuff with the coaches or lift weights, etc. Originally, I came here to sharpen up my wrestling, since there are so many top notch wrestlers here, but I've been able to work on my all-around game, as well.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started kickboxing when I was in high school because it was fun. However, at some point I was fighting in the ring as a pro-MMA fighter.

What ranks and titles have you held? None

Do you have any heroes? Bu-Kyung Jung (Olympic Judo Silver medalist and Dream fighter) is my hero. He also trains with me in Korean Top Team.

What is your favorite technique? My punching skills. I love boxing.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, I graduated Gyung-buk Science University. And my major was 'Mixed Martial Arts'.

What was your job before you started fighting? I was a university student, and at that time, I already was a pro MMA fighter.
