TRAINING: Two to three practices a day. Nothing else has really changed other than in New Mexico it’s a five minute drive to the gym. Out here, going out to Riverside is about 45 minutes as long as I don’t run into traffic, and my gym is about 20 minutes, and Millennia is about 30.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I was 11 when I started wrestling, 13 when I started Jiu-jitsu, and had my 1st pro fight at 16.
What ranks and titles have you held? TUF 2 welterweight winner. KOTC welter and lightweight Champion, ROF welterweight champ, RITC welterweight champ, GC RITC welterweight champ. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt
Do you have any heroes? My kids Joey, Tyler, Frankie, and Max inspire me to continue my goal of obtaining the UFC belt
What is your favorite technique? Leg locks, the D'Arce, guillotine
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means realizing a life long goal that I can finally accomplish!
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? One year of JUCO. No degree.
What was your job before you started fighting? Concrete truck and forklift driver.
