Biography

TRAINING: Typical training for this fight is a morning or early afternoon workout, normally technique-based or strength and conditioning. In the evening it’s more intense with lots of pressure drills and sparring.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I trained all my life from the age of six, doing judo. I’ve been fighting MMA for nine years now; it was just a progression from doing judo, and after my first fight I was hooked.

What ranks and titles have you held? I’ve been the number one British flyweight for over three years

GSP is my favorite fighter

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC?
This is the pinnacle of anyone’s MMA career – it’s a dream come true and I can’t wait to fight

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to college to learn Marine Engineering and I have many qualifications in it.

What was your job before you started fighting?
Pipe fitting on naval ships
