Machida vs. Dollaway Tops Dec. 20 Brazil Card

Arizona middleweight CB Dollaway has been showing the best form of his career over the last two years, winning four of five bouts while capturing two post-fight bonus awards. But on December 20, the ninth-ranked “Doberman” will get the big fight he’s been waiting for, as he headlines a UFC card for the first time against former world champion Lyoto Machida in the main event of UFC Fight Night in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Stepping back into the Octagon for the first time since his stirring five-round battle with UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman at UFC 175 in July, Brazil’s Machida had won his previous two middleweight bouts over Mark Munoz and Gegard Mousasi, establishing himself as one of the sport’s best 185-pounders after a long run at 205 pounds that featured a UFC light heavyweight title reign. In Dollaway, “The Dragon” will face a former Ultimate Fighter finalist who has added impressive striking to his wrestling base to become a crowd-pleasing and top ten middleweight contender.

This event will air on FOX Sports 1. Stay tuned to UFC.com for more fight card announcements.
