What promises to be an explosive welterweight showdown has just been added to July 11th's UFC 189 card, as striking specialists Brandon "Rukus" Thatch and John "Doomsday" Howard will meet at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas this summer.
Tickets for UFC 189, which features Jose Aldo's featherweight title defense against Conor McGregor and the welterweight title fight between Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald, are on sale now.
A noted finisher who has ended all 11 of his victories, including UFC wins over Justin Edwards and Paulo Thiago, before the final bell, Colorado's Thatch will be looking for another early night against Boston's Howard, a Muay Thai ace whose second run in the UFC has seen him score wins over Uriah Hall and Siyar Bahadurzada.
