UFC 217 Fightography: Fight Week with Joanna Jedrzejczyk
Throughout UFC 217 fight week, former strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk allowed the world into her camp as she prepared to defend her title for what would have been a record-tying sixth time at UFC 217 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Jedrzejczyk was unable to tie the record, suffering a knockout defeat against new champion Rose Namajunas. But as expected, Jedrzejczyk took the loss like the champion she was during her memorable reign as queen in the strawweight division.
"I'm not the champion but I'm still a professional athlete," Jedrzejczyk said at the post fight press conference. "I have so many dreams and so many goals. I want my belt back and it's probably going to be the biggest goal right now - to get the belt back.

Jedrzejczyk said she'll go back to Florida before a trip home to Poland for a vacation with her family. She graciously credited Namajunas for a job well done, but vowed to come back even better.
"I can not say it was a lucky punch. She had a very good game plan," Jedrzejczyk said. "This is what happens. Big congrats to Rose. I'm happy for her but I'll be back stronger. ... It was a pleasure for me to fight at the Garden at UFC 217. We're moving forward. I will turn the page and just look forward."
