Three UFC Auctions to Aid Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund are Underway

On Wednesday, December 10th, the UFC travels to North Carolina for a special event entitled “UFC Fight for The Troops” that will bring the best athletes in the world to the Crown Coliseum to perform for members of the United States Armed Forces.

More importantly, the event has been designed to raise money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which supports severely wounded military personnel and veterans as well as the families of those lost in service to this country.

The Fund is also building the National Intrepid Center of Excellence, a facility dedicated to research, diagnosis and treatment of military personnel and veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Those wishing to donate can do so through the fund’s website www.fallenheroesfund.org, and the UFC and Spike TV are also lending a hand with three once in a lifetime auctions that are going on now through 5pm PT on Thursday, December 11th.

1) In what may be the most amazing package ever auctioned off in the sport of mixed martial arts, the centerpiece of the “Fight for The Troops” auction is a UFC VIP Experience that includes a trip to a UFC event featuring your favorite fighter, as well as dinner with UFC President Dana White, Playboy cover girl Rachelle Leah, and a host of UFC greats. That alone would be enough for lifetime bragging rights to your friends, but then you will get to be with your favorite fighter during weigh-ins, in the locker room before the fight, and as part of his entourage as he walks into the Octagon. And should he win, you’ll be in the Octagon after the fight celebrating as an official cornerman (or woman). For more information or to bid, click here.

2) The critically-acclaimed ‘Octagon’ book by Kevin Lynch is a keepsake that will be treasured by any fight fan. Clocking in at over 50 pounds, this huge book – which was handmade in Verona, Italy - is hand numbered and one of only 600 copies in existence. For more information or to bid, click here.

3) In cooperation with Coach and its President and Executive Director Reed Krakoff, who also photographed the recently released ‘Fighter: The Ultimate Fighters of The UFC’, a limited edition UFC Alligator duffle bag is being auctioned off. For more information or to bid, click here.
