UFC renews partnership with International Mixed Martial Arts Federation

UFC® today announced the renewal of its partnership with the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF). The extension secures the organization’s continued global commitment to actively support the safe practice and promotion of amateur mixed martial arts.

“We are excited to provide our continued global support to IMMAF,” UFC Vice President of Government Relations and Corporate Communications Mike Britt said. “IMMAF has done a tremendous job of bridging the gap between amateur MMA organizations throughout the world while providing a universally integrated set of procedures and measures to keep athletes of all levels safe.”

“IMMAF's renewed partnership with UFC will not only strengthen the federation, but also further advance the mutual goal of increased athlete safety in MMA from the grassroots level,” IMMAF CEO Densign White said. “This partnership will benefit MMA athletes globally for its reformation of pathways to increase talent and education while offering opportunities to place protective structures against dangers that arise due to lack of regulation. Our alliance remains a game-changer for amateur combat sports and our awareness continues to make a difference on a global scale.”

Since debuting in 2012, IMMAF has partnered with 53 national amateur mixed martial arts organizations.

With this extension, IMMAF and its global activations will continue to be integrated across UFC social and digital platforms, as well as select events being added to the UFC FIGHT PASS® library.

The 2016 IMMAF World Championships will be held during the UFC Fan Expo® at the Las Vegas Convention Center, as part of the 5th Annual UFC International Fight Week™. The championships will take place from Friday, July 8 – Sunday, July 10 and will be broadcast on UFC FIGHT PASS®.
